This man is one of several suspects in the home invasion of a Fernridge medical marijuana operation.

While his four criminal associates ransacked a Langley house for pot plants, the round-faced 5’7” Caucasian stood guard over the lone occupant of the residence.

The location in the Fernridge area of South Langley was a legal, licensed medicinal marijuana grow operation.

The home invasion occurred on around 3 p.m. on Dec. 26 when five men forced their way into the house.

One was carrying a firearm and one was carrying a knife.

The pot plants were not useable because they were not fully grown, but the thieves did not leave empty-handed. They took a Hewlett-Packard laptop and a cell phone.

The suspects left in a black pickup truck with Olympic plates, possible a Ford F250 or F350.

This week, Langley RCMP released a composite drawing of the suspect who stood guard.

He is said to have “slightly darker skin and big lips.”

Anyone with information that might assist police with their investigation is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 or if you want to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit www.solvecrime.ca.
