A fire damaged a Willoughby townhouse just after 2 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of the fire in the attic of the home in the 7900 block of 209th Street was quickly doused by several Township fire crews, including assistance from Langley City firefighters.

Langley RCMP and firefighters broke down doors to enter a nearby unit to make sure no one was inside.

Deputy chief Bruce Ferguson said no one was injured in the fire.
