A five-vehicle crash in Aldergrove tied up traffic during the busy Monday morning commute.

The collision occurred around 8 a.m. on Fraser Highway near 264 Street.

One vehicle, an SUV, went off the road, narrowly missing a fire hydrant and ended up in the back yard of a house.

The driver of that vehicle, who declined to be identified, told The Times the crash occurred while she was changing lanes on Fraser.

“The side airbags went off,” she said.

She said she was shaken up, but not physically injured.

Westbound drivers were diverted off Fraser down a side street.

No serious injuries were reported.

It was one of at least three morning rush hour crashes on wet roads in the area.
