Volunteers have taped posters throughout the Langleys.

It's been more than three weeks since 80-year-old Shengyun Song went out for a walk in Walnut Grove and vanished without a trace.

Hundreds of posters are up, police have done searches on the ground and by air, volunteers have combed the area and even with a sunny Easter weekend passed, the family of the Chinese national are no closer to understanding what happened or where he is.

Two weeks ago, son Clark Song asked Langley RCMP to look into the possibility that his father met with foul play.

Clark points to another missing person’s case in Burnaby – the disappearance of 66-year-old Gui Feng Tong.

She went missing in the Burnaby Mountain area on Jan. 16.

"This is a very sad situation but at this point we don't have any evidence to point to that," said Langley RCMP Const. Craig van Herk. Investigators don't believe Mr. Song's disappearance is targeted, he said.

Song was reported missing at 7 p.m. on Thursday March 21 by his son, who says his father left his residence in the 8600 block of 206B Street in North Langley to go for a walk alone and did not return home.

The missing man is a resident of China and does not speak any English.

Song is described as an elderly Asian male, with balding white hair, 5'7", 147 lbs.

He was wearing a blue puffy jacket, pants, and brown shoes with a white stripe.
