Cold temperatures and black ice produced a cacophony of crashes on Langley area roads Tuesday morning. There were 10 single vehicle collisions between 4:55 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. as drivers failed to allow for the treacherous road conditions. The first crash occurred at 56 and 272 Street and the last took place at Telegraph Trail and 216 Street.Police said two of the 10 crashes were rollovers where the vehicle occupants walked away with relatively minor injuries, one at 240 and River Road, the other at 232 and 40th.Roads had to be closed, worsening traffic congestion during the morning rush.More cold weather was in the forecast for the remainder of the week, meaning more slippery road conditions.RCMP are urging caution.
