Halloween quiet for Langley police

Police were busy, but there were no major incidents on Halloween last Friday night in Langley.

According to Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP, officers seized fireworks, dealt with some drunk drivers, and broke up a couple of fights at house parties.

There were 164 calls for police assistance during the course of the evening, compared to between 54 and 91 calls for the previous four Friday nights.

Expecting a busy night because Oct. 31 fell on a Friday, there was a bigger police presence on the streets.

“There were additional people working that night,” said Marks.
