Hot off the presses and just in time for Christmas, the Township of Langley Firefighters 2018 charity calendar is now available at participating Shoppers Drug Marts in Langley.

This is the second year Langley firefighters have teamed up with LAPS and their rescue animals to create a calendar featuring Township firefighters, their pets and adoptable kittens, cats and dogs from the Langley shelter.

“We posed with our own pets and some of the pets available for adoption at LAPS. Our charitable society wanted to do a fun, family-friendly calendar that supported our charitable society and LAPS, and the response from the public has been great,” said Township firefighter Steve McLay, who spearheaded the calendar idea.

“We just love this fundraiser and they raised so much for the animals of Langley last year. We can’t wait to see this year’s calendar photographed by the talented Trav+Ash, of course,” said Jayne Nelson, LAPS executive director.

Last year’s calendar raised $2,400 for LAPS. The Township of Langley Firefighters Charitable Society presented Nelson with the cheque at this year’s sold-out LAPS gala held in November.

The calendars are $10 and partial proceeds from the sales will go to LAPS.

“Duolynx Design and Printing did a great job with putting together the calendar for us, and Trav+Ash Photography did all the photos,” said McLay.
