Tis the season for scams.

ICBC is warning its customers to be on alert for a real looking message offering a refund from the Crown corporation.

“If you receive a message offering an ICBC refund - DO NOT click on the link and provide any personal information,” warns ICBC.

ICBC is asking people to report it to local police (non-emergency line) and the Government of Canada’s Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.

This scam is among dozens that are circulating right now, including the E-transfer scam, Revenue Canada scam, bank alert scams, rental e-transfer scams and more.
