The driver of a Jeep that crashed pulling onto the Golden Ears Bridge in Langley on Wednesday night is under investigation for possible impaired driving.

The single-vehicle incident took place at 10:20 p.m. on May 17, when a Jeep Cherokee headed onto the bridge northbound.

It was still near the on-ramp when the driver lost control and the Jeep “pinballed” through a guardrail, said Sgt. Barry Beales of the Langley RCMP.

The driver, a Surrey man, was taken to hospital but walked out later with minor injuries.

The vehicle was impounded after the crash, said Beales. An investigation is ongoing.

Beales said that no other cars were involved in the incident.
