Retired pro baseball star Jose Canseco attracted a huge crowd to the annual Aldergrove Days Slo-Pitch Tournament, Saturday.

Canseco gave a display of hitting the ball out of the park before joining the Straight Outta Hastings team to take on the local fire fighters team in a game at noon.

Canseco then signed autographs on cards, photos, baseballs and whatever else the public wanted signed, all for a donation to the Survivors Supporting Survivors foundation.

The event was sponsored by Andy Bhatti Interventions and Addiction Services and the Options Addiction Treatment Centre of Kelowna.
