A cycling project in Langley City will get provincial funding.

Langley City will receive $92,864 from the province to help build a new cycling lane project.

The money will go towards the 48th Avenue Cycling Project.

The City lists 48th Avenue as one of its core east-west spines for cyclists, along with 53rd Avenue and the trails in the Nicomekl Floodplain.

The project will cover work on the avenue from 200th Street to 203rd Street.

The project is one of 23 projects with a total of $6.5 million in funding from the province.
