Residents of the 80-unit condo complex Paddington Station were been given limited access to the fire damaged building Monday.
Langley City released an update press release Monday evening.
Fourth floor residents were able to give lists of needed items to be retrieved by firefighters.
Residents of the first three floors were allowed to pick up essential items.
The vehices parked in the underground garage cannot be accessed at this time.
Engineers were on site Monday to evaluate the structural integrity of the building so the fire investigation can begin.
Another residents meeting for those living in the 5650 Paddington Station building is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec, 13, at the Douglas Recreation Centre.
There will be representatives from BC Housing, the Ministry of Social Development and other local organizations to provide assistance and additional information.
Residents of the other Paddington Station condo complex were able to return to their homes with the exception of a few units on the south side damaged by the Sunday fire.
The City provided some information on how to donate to help fire victims. The statement said the Gateway of Hope will be receiving monetary donations that will go to their family services program which will, in turn, be used to assist anyone in the community in need of help including victims of the fire. The City also provided information on another campaign. To donate clothing and baby items, please call Zealous Art Studio at 604-533-0490 to arrange for drop-offs between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
