About 70 acres of Langley’s Tall Timbers golf course is going up for sale, as the owners contemplate getting out of the golf business.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, it’s been in our family for 35 years,” said Clayton Lindberg.

Lindberg is a real estate agent and member of the family that owns the course, and he is handling the sale of five of the eight individual lots that make up the course.

For now, the course remains open to players.

“The golf course is going to be business as usual,” Lindberg said.

However, it could eventually go down to a nine-hole course.

The golf business has been difficult of late, Lindberg said.

The properties up for sale will likely become large estates. The owners will not be attempting to subdivide them before any sale.

“They’re welcome to try to subdivide, I don’t see that happening,” Lindberg said of any future buyers.

He said the area is filled with creeks and environmentally sensitive areas, and all the land of the Tall Timbers course is in the Agricultural Land Reserve.

The lots are being offered for between $2 and $3.5 million.
