Homelessness among seniors is the topic of a panel discussion Jan. 17.

The event is hosted by the Langley Seniors Community Action Table, the Langley Senior Resources Society, Triple A Senior Housing and the South Fraser Chapter of CARP.

The panelists include Langley Aldergrove MLA Rich Coleman, who is the minister responsible for housing; Township Mayor Jack Froese; City Mayor Ted Schaffer; Brian Dodd of the Seniors Services Society; and Surrey Manufactured Home Owners Association president Roz Bailey.

The goal is to provide a better understanding of the housing issues affecting local seniors.

The event runs 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Langley Seniors Resource Centre, 20605 51B Ave.
