Langley house of crime taken down

Police seized drugs, sawed-off shotgun, stolen property and stolen mail from Glover Road residence. Man and woman arrested.

Langley RCMP's drug section took down a drug dealing and crime operation based out of upstairs apartments in the 5800 block of Glover Road on April 9.

The search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Air One, and Langley Street Enforcement and Criminal Intelligence Units.

Among the items police seized during the search include a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, drugs (believed to be methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy and steroids), nearly $1,000 cash, stolen property and stolen mail.

A 27-year-old Langley man and 25-year-old Langley woman renting the residence were arrested during the search and police will be recommending charges to Crown Counsel. Both are well known to police.

“Any location engaged in this type of alleged operation is of concern to us. While we are pleased with this investigation, we do encourage calls to the police to pass along any locations where drug trafficking is a concern or suspicion," said Supt. Murray Power, Officer in Charge of the Langley detachment. "One at a time, we will endeavour to chip away at those who choose to engage in this type of criminal activity and create an associated negative effect on our communities.”
