Langley middle school on lockdown

Students and staff are being held in the school.

Students at H.D. Stafford Middle School were set to go home when the bell would normally ring at 2:49 p.m. but the school is on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

“We have a hold and secure,” said Langley School District communications manager Ken Hoff.

The students and staff are secure in the school as the RCMP handles an incident in the vicinity at the school but nothing has happened at the school, he explained.

The school tweeted out “HD stafford is currently in lockdown. All students are safe and accounted for. We will update shortly.”

Watch for more as information becomes available.
