Langley RCMP are looking for an identity thief who bilked a Saskatchewan man out of his $1,500 tax return.

Police were called by a manager at a firm that assists with tax returns, about a man who had used another person’s identification to process a tax return.

Langley RCMP say he went to the tax business on Feb. 20 and produced a T4 slip and an Indian Status Card. He was able to provide the correct date of birth and SIN number as well.

The actual applicant resides in Saskatchewan and never received the refund nor had he been the B.C., confirmed police.
