An 83-year-old Langley driver will have her driving privileges reviewed after allegedly running multiple red lights and eventually rear-ending a vehicle that had stopped to make a left turn on Saturday.

Around 4:15 p.m., a Buick driven by the senior was northbound on 200 Street when witnesses called police to say she was driving through multiple red lights. The Buick then rear-ended a GMC stopped to make a left turn onto 46 Avenue. The driver of the GMC, a 43-year-old Langley man was taken to hospital with back pain, said police.

The driver of the Buick was also taken to hospital with a possible fractured ankle.

Police have put in a request to the superintendent of motor vehicles for a review of the elderly woman's driver's licence.
