A 27-year-old man has been sentenced to a jail term of one year less a day for committing two robberies in Abbotsford within an hour of each other in 2013.
Kerry Paul Morin had previously pleaded guilty to three charges – two counts of robbery and one count of using an imitation firearm.
Morin robbed the Red Apple Food Store on Marshall Road and an Esso convenience store on Huntingdon Road on Oct. 22, 2013.
After the robberies, police released a photo of him and a video, asking for the public help in identifying him.
Morin was arrested a month later while walking in the 9500 block of 199A Street in Langley.
His jail term will be followed by one year of probation.
