Someone has chopped down two large maple trees at the popular off-leash dog park at 206 Street and 44a Avenue Wednesday night.
The senseless act of vandalism has City park staff baffled and park users fuming.
Already one park lover has offered to donate enough money to replant another maple tree but others who love the park can also contribute by contacting the Langley City Parks Foundation.
In the meantime, Langley RCMP would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious after 7 p.m. Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning. The maple trees were well established and it would have taken a chainsaw or heavy duty hand saw to take them down, said parks manager Geoff Mallory.
