Missing South Langley man walked away from rehab

Langley RCMP are trying to locate a man who walked away from a rehab center in South Langley late last month.

Derek Bergdal was last seen around midnight on Sept. 29. He made his bed, packed his things, and left the center, said Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.

Bergdal had been at the center for nearly two months and was two days away from graduating when he suddenly left.

Bergdal has been known to leave the center in the past, and is known to frequent Hastings Street in Vancouver.

The missing man is described as a 29-year-old Caucasian standing 6’1”, weighing 196 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who can help police locate Bergdal can call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
