More charges against gymnastics coach

More alleged victims have come forward, resulting in additional charges laid against a former coach with Langley Gymnastics Foundation.

John William Henry, 32, of Abbotsford, was arrested in March and charged with one count of sexual interference.

Since then, police have continued their investigation and the number of alleged victims has increased to nine, said Langley RCMP.

Henry, who has been in custody, of his own accord, since his arrest, is now charged with nine counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching with a person under 16, eight counts of sexual assault and one count of corrupting morals/obscene publications.

His next court appearance is for a bail hearing on July 29 in Surrey.

Henry had been a coach with the Langley Gymnastics Foundation for four years prior to his arrest.
