Older couple accused of using counterfeit money in Langley

More than $300 worth of groceries were bought with counterfeit US money at Safeway.

This man and woman are accused of buying hundreds of dollars worth of groceries and pre-paid Visa cards using counterfeit US currency in Langley on Sept. 12.

Langley RCMP allege the pictured man and woman entered the Willowbrook Safeway on Sept. 12 and purchased over $300 in groceries using counterfeit $100 US currency.

Once that purchase was successful, a second purchase of more than $600 in prepaid VISA cards was made with more counterfeit bills.
