With 58 candidates running for office in Langley City and Langley Township, it is vital to spend some time before election day checking them out. The Times is trying to make it easier.

The Times has posted two-minute videos from almost all the candidates on its website,www.langleytimes.com. The candidates not represented  have decided not to avail themselves of this opportunity, which was made available to all at no cost.

In addition to a pull-out section in the Tuesday, Nov. 1 print edition, featuring candidates in Langley City and the candidates for the Langley Board of Education, The Times will publish answers to two questions from those of the 27 candidates for the eight councillors’ seats in Langley Township who respond. This will be published in next Tuesday’s print edition. The answers will also be posted online.

There will also be in-depth interviews with the candidates for mayor.

Online stories under the “elections” tab feature more details about the candidates’ background and their vision for the future. These stories will remain on The Times website until Friday, Nov. 18, the day before election day.
