An Ontario man with several warrants out for his arrest has been found living in Willoughby.

James Matthew Johnson, 28, was arrested by Langley RCMP in a residence on Nov. 12.

In the latter part of September, investigators with the York Regional Police Service in Ontario contacted Langley RCMP requesting assistance in executing several arrest warrants for Johnson, who is considered a ‘high risk offender’.

Johnson was wanted on four separate arrest warrants for numerous charges including uttering threats, criminal harassment, robbery, obstructing a police officer and extortion, to name a few.

Investigators from York believed he was living in Langley and were able to provide an address in Willoughby, said Langley RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Holly Largy.

On Nov. 12, officers from Langley’s prolific offender suppression team and investigational support team located Johnson at that residence, where he was arrested without incident.

He was remanded in custody and held for York Regional Police investigators.  He has now been escorted back to Ontario where he will face his outstanding charges.
