A number of police responded to reports of a gun Sunday – which turned out to be a pellet gun.

A report of a firearm led to a police takedown near a Langley City elementary school on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to a report of a possible firearm at around 2:15 p.m., apparently near Douglas Park Elementary, said Cpl. Holly Largy, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP.

Officers found a suspect vehicle and detained two people.

They recovered a pellet gun and some marijuana.

No charges have been laid and the investigation is still ongoing.
