Langley seniors had a lot to digest June 5 inside the McLeod Athletic Park sports box.
On a sunny Friday afternoon, Langley Township hosted its third annual Seniors’ Picnic & Health Fair, where roughly 60 participants enjoyed a light lunch and visited information booths manned by local organizations that specialize in seniors services, while also meeting other members of their community.
The midday event featured 30 vendors offering a range of seniors services and information, including organizations such as Service Canada, Fraser Valley Regional Library, companies that provide services to seniors.
Following the catered lunch, guest speakers representing Service Canada, CarFit, and the City of Langley Fire Department provided a short presentation.
