The company applying to expand its oil pipeline from Alberta to Burnaby is hosting an open house tonight, Wednesday April 2, in Walnut Grove.
Kinder Morgan's event will be held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn at 8750 204 Street in Walnut Grove.
The pipeline has proved controversial in Langley not only because the firm wants to almost triple the capacity of the line to pump oil, but because they are considering moving its route. Possible routes have included one that would run under the Salmon River floodplain near Fort Langley, or one that would run under the Redwoods Golf Course, a Langley Township owned plot of land slated to become a park.
