Langley RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating Mario Guy Martel, wanted on  outstanding warrants for dangerous driving causing bodily harm and fail to stop at the scene of an accident.

They relate to a collision on Aug. 3, 2007 in the 21000 block of 77A Avenue.

An eastbound motorcycle collided with a westbound vehicle (Toyota Supra) which was being towed by another vehicle that left the scene. The driver of the motorcycle sustained fractures to both his ribs and leg. He was found in the ditch on the south side of the road. A dark colour truck was seen leaving the scene immediately following the collision.

The Supra came to rest in the ditch after the collision with the motorcycle. It is believed the individual steering the Supra was unable to control the vehicle when the tow vehicle drove at increasing speeds.

Martel, 66, was the driver of the tow vehicle and failed to attend his last court date.

He is believed to be living in the 100 Mile House/Williams Lake area.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mario Guy Martel is asked to call their local RCMP detachment. Should you need to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers:
