Police are seeking this man in connection with an incident of touching a child in Aldergrove on Jan. 11.

Serious crime officers from the Langley RCMP detachment are looking for a man who touched the hood of a 10-year-old girl's jacket as she was walking home.

Police say that officers trained in child interviewing techniques questioned the girl after she reported the Jan. 11 incident to her mother.

It occurred as she was walking in the 26800 block of 32 Avenue, and the man approached her from the opposite direction.

The girl believes the man touched the hood of her jacket, but she could not get a good look at his eyes as his hair was covering them.

The man is believed to be a Caucasian aged between 30 and 40, tall and skinny and has a "normal" nose.

The girl reported that he was wearing black clothing, sweat pants, a hooded top and black and white shoes with green laces.  He could be associated with a shiny red car.

Anyone who can shed light on this incident or who recognizes the suspect is asked to call RCMP at 604 532-3200.
