Power was briefly out for a number of Aldergrove residents on Wednesday morning after something struck a power line during maintenance work.
There were 4,464 customers – homes and businesses – without power in and around the core area of the community for a little less than an hour starting at 9:12 a.m., said Susie Rieder, a spokesperson for BC Hydro.
A power line was at high sensitivity due to maintenance when the outage took place.
“Something hit the line – it could have been a bird or a branch,” said Rieder.
Whatever it was didn’t do much damage, and power was restored by 10:06 a.m.
