Ever wondered what it would be like to be a scientist? Perhaps exploring different types of science is of interest? Get to know the fun side of science at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Science Rendezvous on May 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the KPU Langley campus at 20901 Langley Bypass.

Part of the annual Canadian Science Rendezvous science festival running from Vancouver to St. John’s, the event is designed to make science accessible to the public, and to highlight and promote science in Canada.

KPU is one of more than 40 venues where simultaneous science exploration will occur and it is Kwantlen’s second year of participation in the event.

Not just for kids interested in fun experiments, this is a science experience suitable for all ages and is free to attend. From walkthroughs of science labs and state-of-the-art greenhouses to demonstrations of patient simulators in nursing labs, there is a vast amount of science available to the public during KPU’s Science Rendezvous.

Some of the other highlights include: a chemistry magic show, wireless robots, a bug garden, and dancing flames.

More than 550 visitors came through KPU last year to check out the activities.
