The suspect – captured on security footage using the Brookswood RBC bank at 20059 40 Ave. just before 2 p.m. Wednesday – is described as 20 to 30 years old, five-foot-10 to six feet tall, with a medium build and no visible marks, scars or tattoos. He is believed to be Caucasian, and, at the time of the offence, had shoulder-length, light-coloured hair that may not have been real.

The suspect spoke without any distinguishable accent.

He is wanted in connection with a break-in and sexual assault that took place at a home in the 16700-block of 28 Avenue around noon Wednesday.

The 70-year-old victim told police a man entered the residence shortly after she returned home from a morning out, physically restrained her, then beat and sexually assaulted her when she couldn't comply with his demands for cash and other items.

The victim fled to a neighbour's home and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

With the suspect still at large, police issued a safety warning early Thursday, advising the public to be vigilant with their personal and home security.

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photos, or with any information on the incident, is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 (quote file #2015-115-727) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Anyone who sees the suspect is advised to call 911.
