Suspected Cloverdale shooter speeds off on motorcycle

Police are looking for a man on a motorcycle after a shooting on Monday afternoon.

A female caller told Surrey R.C.M.P. that the man had accidentally shot his friend in the leg. The call came in at about 4:30 p.m. from a woman living around 187th St. and 60A Ave.

Police found a male in his late 20s with a single gunshot to his leg.

The suspect male had already left .

The injured man was taken to hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Police report that the victim "is presently supplying limited details of the incident."

The suspected shooter was last seen leaving the area on a motorcycle, at a high rate of speed. 

The bike is believed to be dark coloured and two-tone. The rider is described as a Caucasian male in his early 3's, slender build, with light-coloured hair, wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.

He was not wearing a helmet when he left on the motorcycle.

The incident is not random, according to police.

Police are asking for the public's assistance. Anyone who was in the area and saw the motorcycle leave, or have seen the described motorcycle, is asked to call the Surrey R.C.M.P. at 604-599-0502, or to call Crime Stoppers
