A man and a woman were taken into custody early Friday morning after being apprehended as they tried to break into an Aldergrove business Nov. 4.
Ray Richard, owner-operator of Rayway Operator Training School at 1123 - 272 Street, saw the duo on the property's video surveillance cameras at about 3:20 a.m. and called Langley RCMP.
"They spent over two hours on site breaking into two 20 foot steel storage containers using a cut-off saw and bolt cutters and then packing tools and miscellaneous stuff out to their car, an older Lincoln Continental parked on 272 St.," said Richard.
"Hats off to the dispatcher that spent 30 minutes on the phone with me while I was relaying information on their activities from my home in Surrey and all of the Langley RCMP involved in getting two thieves off the streets at least temporarily and returning all of the stolen items back to me."
Officers immediately established a perimeter around the business and two Lower Mainland police dogs attended to assist with apprehension.
A female was arrested inside the compound and a male was tracked and located inside of his vehicle.
Both were arrested and brought back to Langley Detachment.
Police have recommended charges for a 28 year old Surrey woman and a 32 year old Langley man, who appeared in court Friday afternoon.
