Gateway of Hope shelter offered additional sleeping mats for homeless

An extreme weather alert has been lifted for Langley.

Gateway of Hope shelter issued the advisory on Thursday, making extra sleeping mats available for homeless people .

An update rescinding the alert for the shelter at 5787 Langley Bypass was issued Saturday morning.

It said “temperatures have risen and no longer meet [the] criteria.”
