UPDATE: Langley RCMP wants to hear from witnesses to a head-on crash

A head-on collision midday in Langley sent one man to hospital in serious condition.

Emergency crews are dealing a head on collision just south of Robertson Crescent on 240th Street.

The collision was reported just prior to 12:20 p.m., said Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.

Langley RCMP Traffic Services has requested the assistance of the police's Integrated Collision and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) so the road will remain closed for an additional three to four hours.

There was one occupant in each of the two vehicles involved. A 75-year-old Langley man sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  he other driver is in his 60s and was airlifted to hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. He was in serious condition, Largy said

Motorists should consider alternate routes for travel, she added.

The RCMP would like to hear from anyone who may have witnesses the crash.
