UPDATE: Langley road worker hurt by steam roller

A worker sustained an ankle injury from a steamroller Saturday in an industrial incident in Yorkson.

The accident reportedly happened in the 8400 block of 208th Street at about 7:30 p.m. where crews are working on roadways in connection with the frenzied residential development taking place in the area.

The RCMP attended but the Sept. 13 incident has been turned over to WorkSafeBC which investigates workplace incidents.

The injuries were not life threatening but the worker was taken to hospital to be checked out and WorkSafe continues to investigate.
