UPDATE: Police lock down Langley school temporarily

Noel Booth Elementary was on lock down briefly on Monday morning while RCMP used a police dog to track a suicidal male.

Noel Booth Elementary was locked down for a brief time Monday morning.

Langley RCMP requested that the south Langley school at 20202 35 Ave., go on lock down while they were tracking a suicidal male using a police dog.

The man was found and taken to hospital, said Langley RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Holly Largy.

Langley School District spokesman Ken Hoff said the lock down was from around 10:20 a.m. and only lasted around 20 minutes.
