A vehicle crashed through the glass windows of Langley City's Zealous Art studio on Wednesday evening.

Luckily, no one was hurt when a vehicle drove into the Zealous Art studio, crashing through the glass windows Wednesday evening.

Around 5:45 p.m., Langley City emergency crews were called to the strip mall in the 20200 block of Fraser Highway.

City firefighters arrived to find a black Hyundai Santa Fe had crashed into the Zealous Art studio. There were no injuries to either the lone occupant of the vehicle or the two people inside the art studio, said City fire chief Rory Thompson. It's not known at this time what caused the driver to go through the storefront, he said.

Zealous Art Studio owner Freda Lombard just opened her studio two weeks ago. She has been hosting mobile painting parties in Langley for more than six years now and has had such success with it, she wanted to open up the painting experience to more of the public through the studio.

Several art parties and painting fundraisers were planned and are being rescheduled. Check the Zealous Art Facebook page for details.

It's not known yet how long it will take to repair the building or how extensive the damage is.
