An arrest warrant for prolific offender Robin Hibbs went out in March. He was arrested in Aldergrove on Wednesday, allegedly after being in a vehicle that had been stolen.

A wanted man, well known to Langley police, was arrested in connection to a stolen vehicle in Aldergrove on Wednesday.

Robin Hibbs, who has a warrant out for his arrest since March 18, was arrested around 1 p.m. after a man flagged down police to say he just saw an individual get out of his vehicle that had been stolen that day.

He pointed out a man he alleges was in the driver's seat of his vehicle, said police. The officer recognized the suspect to be Hibbs and arrested him.

Hibbs was with a woman at the time of his arrest. The vehicle was confirmed stolen.

No charges in relation to Wednesday's incident have been laid but Hibbs is behind bars and had been scheduled to appear in court to address his arrest warrant and other crimes.

Hibbs, 50, was wanted in relation to an alleged theft that occurred on Feb. 11 where over $900 in power tools was stolen from a store in the Willowbrook shopping area.
