An arrest warrant has been issued for Andrea Mosher wanted for forging and cashing 50 government cheques.

Langley RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance to execute an arrest warrant for Andrea Ellen Mosher of Coquitlam.

Police allege Mosher stole identification from a number of individuals throughout Metro Vancouver.  They further allege she used that ID to cash more than 50 government cheques which had been fraudulently altered.

The offenses took place between October of last year and February of this year.

She is wanted in Langley for one count of identity theft and one count of fraud over $5,000.

Mosher is 47, 5’2” and 120 lbs. and has long dark hair.

Langley RCMP are looking for an identity thief who bilked a Saskatchewan man out of his $1,500 tax return.

Police were called by a manager at a local firm that assists with tax returns about a man who had used another person’s identification to process a tax return. The suspect received a tax refund of more than $1,500, said Langley RCMP. The suspect went to the tax business on Feb. 20 and produced a T4 slip and an Indian Status Card. He was able to provide the correct date of birth and SIN number as well.

The actual applicant resides in Saskatchewan and never received the refund nor had he been the B.C., confirmed police.
