With the May 9 election fast approaching, we are offering readers from both Langley ridings a snapshot of their candidates’ stance on the issues that affect them.

Rather than restrict the candidates to topics of our choosing, we asked them to identify the three issues they feel are most pressing to Langley residents, and explain what they would do to address them.

We also thought it would be nice to get to know them a little better as people. So, in addition to identifying their top three issues, we asked them to share a few more details about themselves.

Meet the candidates:

Langley Riding:

Elizabeth Walker (Green)

Rob Pobran (Libertarian)

Gail Chaddock-Costello (NDP)

Mary Polak (Liberal)

Justin Greenwood (Conservative)

Langley East Riding:

Inder Johal (NDP)

Alex Joehl (Libertarian)

Rich Coleman (Liberal)

Bill Masse (Green)
