A Langley man convicted of possession of child pornography will serve his sentence on weekends.

Leslie Joseph Burley was initially charged with three counts – importing/distributing child pornography, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography, with the date of the offences listed as Dec. 24, 2016.

The charges other than possession were dropped, and Burley entered a guilty plea on Sept. 8.

He was sentenced Feb. 1 to 90 days in prison, with an intrermittent sentence.

In an intermittent sentence, the accused can serve their time in prison on weekends.

He will also face three years of probation during his sentence, and a 10-year ban on activities involving youths under 16.
