City Hall Council Chambers, 20399 Douglas Crescent
In accordance with the requirements of the “Local Government Act”, the following parcels of real property will be sold for taxes on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, Langley, B.C., unless the delinquent taxes now owing, plus interest, are sooner paid.
Notice to Prospective Purchasers:
The purchaser must pay by certified cheque, direct debit or cash and will be allowed one hour to secure payment. If a purchaser fails to pay the price, the collector will promptly again offer the property for sale.
Please note the purchasers will NOT have the right to receive title possession until one year following the date of the sale. During this period the registered owner of the property or his/her agent has the right to redeem the property from the tax sale, thus cancelling the tax sale. The purchaser will then be entitled to receive a refund of the amount paid plus interest at a rate set by the Province of British Columbia.
Any property not redeemed, will be subject to tax under the Property Purchase Tax Act on the fair market value of the property. Information is available at the City Hall Finance Department.
