Albert SMITH

SMITH, Albert George born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, December 16, 1915 passed away peacefully on December 28, 2003 with family at his side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sybil; his brother, Jack (Pat) of Winnipeg; sons, Greg, Lorne(April), Howie (Dawn); and grandchildren, Chris, Carley (Nate), Matt and Katie. He was predeceased by his brother Edgar.

Al joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941 and served during World War II up until 1966 when he moved his family to North Vancouver. He worked for BC Ferries until 1971, moved to Chilliwack, later to Pitt Meadows and finally to Surrey in 1988. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Service and tea will be held at the Avondale Co-op in Surrey on January 11, 2004 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Society of BC, or to the charity of your choice.
