Allan KEMP

December 14, 2004

KEMP: Allan Leslie. Peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2004.

Allan was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour at Simpson Hospital in Fort Langley, B.C. at the age of 95 years.

Allen was predeceased in 2002 by Florence, his loving wife of 61 years and, being the youngest of twelve children, by his eleven siblings.

Left to cherish his memory are sons Mel (Judy) of Penticton and Greg (Ann) of Honolulu together with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba to Alexander and Catherine, Allan and Florence resided in Winnipeg for over 40 years where he was employed by Eatons until his retirement. In 1989, he and Florence moved to Langley where they were faithful and involved members of Christian Life Assembly and active residents of Blue Heron Estates.

The quality of Allan's life in recent years was immeasurably enriched by faithful friends and compassionate caregivers.

The family wishes to express its heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional staff at Simpson Hospital for their wonderful care during the past two and a half years with a special thank you to Jodie Vanderveen for her tender loving care as Dad struggled with the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's.

A graveside memorial service to remember and celebrate Dad's life will be held at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72nd Avenue, Surrey, on Monday December 20th at 3 p.m. with Pastor Don Cantelon officiating. Henderson's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
