THOMPSON, Ann Elizabeth (Sawler)
July 17, 1936 - May 18, 2010
With her family at her side, Ann passed away on May 18, 2010 in Langley, BC. She was born July 17, 1936 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to Albert and Rose Sawler. She is predeceased by her parents, brother Jim and sister-in-laws Jean and Florence and will be dearly missed by her daughters Terri (Ian), Lynn (Mark), Kelly, her son David (Kristi), her brothers David (Betty) and Peter, her grandchildren Chris, Rachel, Jennifer and Lindsay, and her great-granddaughter Amy.
In the early 1970's she was known as an exceptional curler and their team won the Newfoundland Provincial Championships 3 times and competed for the Province at the Canadian Championships.
Throughout her life she enjoyed reading and was an excellent bridge player. In her final years she made many friends through her bridge and TOPS groups in Langley, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
