Arthur McROBBIE

February 11, 2005

McROBBIE: Arthur Murray. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland June 30, 1909 died peacefully on February 11, 2005, with family at his side.

He is survived by his three sons George (Susan), Jim (Wendy) and Ian (Debbie), eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife, Jessie, of 57 years, his three brothers, Alex, George and Bob, and his sister, Madeline, predeceased Arthur.

He spent 5 years in the RAF during WWII before immigrating to Canada in 1946. He joined his brother Alex's firm, Vancouver Pipe and Engine Works, where he worked for over twenty years prior to starting his own companies, Trident Marine and IPM Contractors. He continued to work well into his seventies. He never really slowed down until his late eighties when he lost his life partner Jessie, in 1996.

Arthur will be remembered for his gentle and generous nature. He was a trusting friend and a loving, proud father and grandfather. He will be missed by not forgotten. Arthur and his family are extremely grateful for the compassion and care shown by the staff at Zion Park Manor. Special thanks go to Dr. Kenneth NG our parent's physician for many years.

In accordance with Dad's wishes, there will be no service.
