Arthur William WISE

January 25, 2005

WISE: Arthur William - April 28, 1912 - January 25, 2005. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Art. He was predeceased by his wife Kay on July 2, 1986. Art leaves to mourn his grandson Ralph (Kathy) Balcom; his sister Elsie Jarrett and her son David; and many nieces and nephews. Art was born in Acme, Alberta and attended the first Calgary Stampede in 1912. Art and Kay moved to Fort Langley in 1967. He was a past Exalted Ruler and lifetime member of the Acme and Langley Elks clubs. Art was the curator of the BC Farm Machinery museum in Fort Langley for over 30 years. He volunteered his time to many causes and was elected the Citizen of The Year in 1989 by the Township of Langley. Art would never find fault with anyone and amassed many friends because of his kind heart. Many thanks to Pat for her kindness and care. A special thank you to his live-in care aid Niki. At his passing, Art resided at the Simpson Hospital. We thank the nurses and staff for the excellent care they gave him. Art was buried on January 27, 2005 next to his wife Kay in the Fort Langley Cemetery.
